I’ve had the pattern for Raphael’s Angels for, I would say, at least 10 years. Copyright on it is 1994. It is a Leisure Arts Leaflet 2634. The reason I purchased it (guessing) is because I collect (used loosely) angels. And I think it was around this time that my Mom had started ceramics. She made me some beautiful angels. I’m pretty picky about my angels – not every angel there is needs to enter my house. And let me make it clear, I don’t worship them nor their purpose (because biblicallyk, they do have a role). But they are an enjoyment of mine.
I did pull out my work last night for about 30 minutes while my kiddos played after bathtime. I’m in the clouds on the left and don’t have much to go. They are 1/2 stitches so it’s easy and enjoyable. What remains after that is the eyes and a little on the left face (I must have gotten off somewhere…) and then the backstitching – not much of that.
I think they are beautiful. I’ll post a photo when I’m done.
